QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current RN, BSN, or PEL-CSN licensure
  • Certifications for CPR/AED
  • Experience in school nursing and community health nursing preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform routine school nursing procedures
  • Monitor and facilitate the health office functions
  • Address routine and emergency health situations in the health office and school building
  • Assess the health needs of students, administering first aid when necessary
  • Maintain health office supplies
  • Maintain required health records and student health data
  • Administer medication
  • Perform general office duties such as word processing, operating office machines, handling telephone calls, filling staff requests, delivering messages and entering computer data
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the school nurse, principal, or administration
