Job description

Position Summary
Participating and working within the overall showroom - maintaining appearance, layout, machine operability and routine maintenance, coordination of machine demonstrations, and support of product groups / service with pre and post-sale related activities. Will also include work at customer sites for service and application support, partnering with field service representative.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Coordinate with Sales / Product teams to understand customer requirements to prepare for superior product demonstrations that meet the needs of customers visiting our facility as part of a sales (or potential sales) initiative.
  • Review functionality of machinery in preparation for customer demonstrations. This review includes all operating components of the machine and materials required to guarantee a professional and well-organized presentation of equipment.
  • Responsible for the post-demonstration activities, which includes clean-up of machinery, work space, materials, showroom, returning samples to the customer, and other related items / activities.
  • Assist with the layout of the showroom and its contents, including the cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the machines. This may include the set-up, installation, de-installation and maintenance of the equipment
  • Responsible for the installation of company machinery and assisting customers with application problem resolution using appropriate means and resources available to get customer's equipment operational in the most expedient manner (20% of time)
  • Responsible for documenting all notes of the demonstration, which includes a summary of the machines and materials used, customer requests / feedback, etc.
  • Assist in Web-Ex demonstrations of machinery software
  • Special projects as requested by manager

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates degree in Engineering or Technical School certificate program (or equivalent industry experience)
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years sales or technical experience, woodworking/panel processing machinery preferred
  • Knowledge of woodworking / panel processing machinery software, and AutoCAD / CAD
