Timber Products Company is a leader in diversified wood products manufacturing, sales and transportation. We are dedicated to our workforce, and we consider our team members to be one of the key components to our success. The knowledge, experience and unique skills of our team members have enabled our company to grow - including our most recent addition, a state-of-the-art, Robotics, Dimensional Lumber Mill, where we can produce custom cut, high quality lumber for a variety of different markets .
Timber Products Company is looking for current college student (or college bound for Fall 2026) temporary summer relief workers who will be utilized as laborers in either our Michigan Sawmill, Dimensional Lumber Mill or Veneer Mill for the months of May through August. Relief workers do not have benefits. Must be 18 years of age or older and must undergo pre-employment drug testing. Wages starting at $18.19/hr.

  • Responsible for working as a team to keep veneer/lumber sorted and stacked like a pro, while focused on perfecting accurate piece counts and maintaining top-notch quality standards.
  • Carry out every task focusing on safety first, while also following all federal, state, local and company rules to keep yourself, your team and the workplace running safely and smoothly.
  • Be part of a team that maintains clean and orderly work areas in an effort to focus on safety and streamline productivity
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
  • Must be able to bring to the team strength, coordination, stamina, and sharp focus that is needed to tackle hands-on work and keep tasks running safely and smoothly from start to finish.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 18 years of age (preference will be given to college bound high school graduates)
  • Requires standing, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to perform work with hands and/or arms in the same repetitive motion above and below shoulder level
  • Proper use and care of all pertinent equipment and tools
  • Willing to work flexible hours
