Job description

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent lumber and building materials company in the Muskegon area, is seeking a truss assembler to add to their team!
Truss Assembler Job Summary:
  • 1st shift: 7a-3p M-F, overtime can be as early as 6a and as late as 4p.
  • Potential OT on Saturday
  • $16/hr

Truss Assembler Job Responsibilities:
  • Assemble trusses using hand and power tools
  • Remove cut lumber from the saw machine immediately after cutting
  • Inspect wood pieces for visible defects or damage before stacking
  • Stack wood in organized piles by size, type, or production batch
  • Ensure stacking areas are stable, safe, and conform to company guidelines
  • Keep the work area around the saw machine clean and free from obstructions
  • Assist machine operators and other warehouse staff as needed.

Truss Assembler Job Requirements:
  • Carpentry experience is preferred
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
