Job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mold Shop Carpenter to join our team in La Grange, NC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the production of high-quality molds used in various manufacturing processes. If you have a passion for craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
  • Construct, assemble, and repair molds according to specifications and blueprints.
  • Utilize various woodworking tools and machinery to shape and finish mold components.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to ensure molds meet quality standards and project requirements.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior carpenters and apprentices as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a mold shop or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy materials.
