Overview / Responsibilities

Sr. Process Coordinator / Technical Advisor - Phoenix, AZ

Overview

Wood is seeking a Senior process Coordinator / Technical Advisor for our office in Phoenix, AZ. This person serves as a Process Subject Matter Expert and Technical Advisor on processing projects, applying academic knowledge and practical experience to support specific technical portions of larger projects.  This position solves problems using applied industry methods and determines best methods to apply to assigned tasks.  Actions typically have a moderate to significant influence on results.  This position works under with minimal supervision and makes recommendations on assignment execution.   The Process Coordinator / Technical Advisor has regular contact with team members; interacts with external contacts on their own and has 15 - 20 years progressively responsible experience in the processing discipline. 

This position includes work in both the office and the field on project sites, depending upon the specific assignment. Travel to project sites will be required.  Appropriate transportation is provided for field work. This individual will work under the supervision of a principal-level or associate-level professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop conceptual and detailed process design
  • Prepare technical reports and drawings for client review and acceptance, construction packages and regulatory permit applications
  • Prepare engineering design specifications and cost estimates
  • Field activities may also include review of existing site features from design development and oversight of subcontractors during construction activities
  • Compile, organize, and evaluated field and laboratory data for incorporation into technical reports
  • Coordinate technician and / or vendor activities for filed assignments
  • Prepare field reports, internal correspondence, and technical reports
  • Follow company safety standards, site safety standards, and provides all required permitting.
  • Will travel to project sites.
Skills / Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications

  • BS or MS Process Engineering or equivalent. Relevant years' experience is acceptable as a substitute. 
  • 15 to 20 years' mine process experience
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D software
  • Flexible to work outside normal business hours as required
  • Ability to travel to project sites Occasional overnight travel will be required
  • MSHA 24 hour certification preferred
  • Knowledge of Environmental Protections regulations required
  • Filed activities may require working unfavorable weather conditions
  • Field activities may require working in specialized protective equipment supplied by employer, Candidate must be physically capable of performing tasks in such equipment.
  • Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (Motor Vehicle Safety) policy
