Lathe Operator

Demopolis Hickory Mill, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Wood Lathe Operator to join our team. The position involves operating a wood lathe and requires attention to detail, accuracy, and a strong commitment to quality work. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. A strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and reliable attendance are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate a wood lathe to produce wood components according to specifications.
  • Use measuring tools, including a tape measure and micrometer, to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished products meet requirements.
  • Learn and follow proper operating procedures for equipment and tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating a wood lathe is preferred but not required.
