Job description

Summer Camp Group Leader -Part-time -Fairfield-Suisun, CA - No Weekends!

Pay: $21.00-$23.00/hourly depending on experience

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping memories that children will cherish for a lifetime. As a Camp Group Leader we are looking for individuals to inspire, spark curiosity, encouraging creativity, a sense of community, warmth, and foster a deep sense of belonging for every child.

This occurs in a dynamic environment that thrives on innovation, excitement, and adventure. Our mission is to create an unforgettable experience for young minds, providing a sense of wonder and exploration.

Please see the schedule and key dates below:

Locations: Cordelia, David Weir, Dover, Nelda Mundy, Suisun Valley, TK Anna Kyle, TK Fairview, TK Sullivan, and Tolenas

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM- 6:00 PM with an option of working one of the three shifts available during camp hours.

Here's what you'll need:

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
  • Proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing regulations

The District requires all instructional support staff meet paraprofessional qualifications. This means candidates must meet one of the following:

  • Hold an Associate's degree or higher
  • Have completed 48 college semester units
  • OR pass the Paraprofessional (ParaPro) Exam

**If a candidate does not meet the educational requirement, they will need to complete the ParaPro testing process prior to being hired or starting in their position. **

As an AlphaBEST Camp Group Leader, you'll be trained to do the following:

  • Lead a group of campers through exciting adventures in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
  • Work collaboratively with peers to ignite children's sense of wonder.
  • Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on students' interests and talents.
  • Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.
