The Inova Cares Clinic for Women (ICCW) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated OB/GYN Physician to provide obstetric and gynecologic (OB-GYN) care for a culturally diverse population of uninsured and low-income individuals in Northern Virginia. In partnership with county health departments and community agencies, we serve the needs of our community with prenatal and gynecologic care for underserved communities. This is a great opportunity to work with a supportive and enriching team.

OB/GYN Physician Job Responsibilities: 

  • Physicians in this role function as OB/GYN Generalists with the following role components
    • Full spectrum Inpatient and Outpatient OBGYN practice
    • Function as a "Safety Officer" for L&D and the Women's Hospital with the purpose of early detection and prevention of possible safety events
  • Provide care for a culturally diverse population of uninsured and low-income individuals in Northern Virginia
  • Prenatal and gynecologic care for underserved communities
  • Non-stress testing, LEEP and colposcopy procedures 
  • Take call shifts
    • 12 hour calls at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus
    • 24 hour calls at Inova Alexandria Hospital
    • At Inova Fairfax, call is in-house with Residents 
  • Cross coverage to other Inova Cares for Women locations as needed 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine degree from an accredited institution. Board eligible or board certified in OB/GYN.
  • Experience: successful completion of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program. 2 years of experience after residency is preferred.
  • Licensure: Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Virginia
  • Payer Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
  • Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of experience after residency is strongly preferred.

Applicants may be considered for current and future opportunities including full time, part time and PRN positions.
