 Wolfe Eye Clinic – Better vision, for a better life!

Registered Nurse

With over 100 years of specialized eye care experience, it’s no wonder that Iowans trust their vision to Wolfe Eye Clinic. In medical practice since 1919, Wolfe Eye Clinic is a specialty medical eye care and surgical treatment center with locations across the state of Iowa. Our specialists are not only experts in diagnosing, managing and surgically treating acute and chronic eye diseases but have performed more LASIK laser eye surgeries in Iowa than any other provider. At Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life®.

We are seeking full or part-time registered nurses to join the Retina TEAM that generations of Iowans have trusted to provide a higher standard of eye-care excellence!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the physician during clinic.
  • Room patients and obtain medical histories.
  • Document into the electronic medical record.
  • Provide patient education.
  • Complete prior authorizations for procedures.
  • Schedule or reschedule clinic and surgical appointments.
  • Triage phone calls and respond to tasks.
  • Administer injections.
  • Travel to other offices for clinic as scheduled.
  • Perform other clinical duties as needed.

Qualifications include:

  • Ability to effectively enter information into a variety of computer programs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to provide excellent patient service.
  • Ophthalmology experience preferred but not required.
