Job description

Logistics Insight Corporation (LINC), a subsidiary of Universal Logistics Holdings, Inc., is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider offering customized supply chain solutions across North America. Through experienced leadership, proven operational processes, and advanced technology, LINC delivers warehousing, transportation, inventory management, sequencing, and value-added logistics services for some of the world's largest manufacturers.


This position is based in Lake Orion, Michigan, supporting General Motors operations. The facility provides warehouse services including pick and pack, sequencing, inventory management, and material flow support for critical production operations.


Position Summary

The IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day technology operations that support a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment. This individual will lead local IT support efforts, maintain critical systems and infrastructure, coordinate technology-related projects, and ensure operational continuity across the facility. The IT Supervisor will serve as the primary point of contact for technology issues while partnering closely with operations leadership, corporate IT teams, vendors, and customer representatives.


Shifts Available

2nd shift: Monday - Friday / 2:00pm - 11:00pm


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the daily activities of on-site IT personnel and third-party technology providers.
  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of warehouse and business-critical systems.
  • Coordinate troubleshooting and resolution of hardware, software, network, printer, scanner, and workstation issues.
  • Support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory control systems, RF technology, and related operational applications.
  • Manage user account administration, system access, and security compliance.
  • Maintain network infrastructure, servers, workstations, and peripheral equipment.
  • Lead technology implementations, upgrades, and improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate with corporate IT teams to ensure facility technology standards are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain IT documentation, system procedures, and recovery plans.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical training and support to operations and administrative personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with customer, corporate, and cybersecurity requirements.


Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure experience.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics operations is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, hardware support, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with WMS, ERP, RF scanning technology, and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
