Job Description

Meet the team:

Intermediate warehousing position that is expected to complete all tasks under general supervision. Material Handler 2 performs a variety of warehouse functions including but not limited to receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control. Position is responsible for completing the physical and systematic movement of material in accordance with all safety, cGMP, and quality procedures. Position is expected to transact all material timely and compile and maintain all required documents for material movement as per quality procedures. This position may work with raw materials, dangerous goods, WIP materials, finished goods, returned goods, R&D materials, etc.

Where You Come In:

  • You complete all warehousing activities including, but not limited to, receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control in compliance with Safety, cGMP, and Quality Standard Operating Procedures.

  • You unload, load, put away, and retrieve material utilizing hand trucks, powered forklifts, or other material handling equipment.

  • You are able to obtain and/or have been certified on at least one type of material handling equipment.

  • You perform transactions in ERP/WMS systems including, but not limited to, shipping, entering cycle counts, material receipts, shipments, etc.

  • You are able to look up material status/location in ERP/WMS systems.

  • You utilize Outlook to send emails to internal partners.

  • You are able to complete basic data entry in Excel or other programs.

  • You perform a 7-point inspection on tractor trailers prior to unloading/loading materials.

  • You inspect inbound materials for damages.

  • You verify material information including, but not limited to, part number, lot number, expiration date, and quantity against vendor paperwork and PO.

  • You review raw material specifications for instructions prior to receiving/labeling materials.

  • You prepare pick lists for materials based on requests from manufacturing and/or planning.

  • You pick, stage, and transact bulk and non-bulk materials.

  • You actively look for opportunities to drive improvements in operations and bring up suggestions to supervisory staff.

What Makes You Successful:

  • You have 2+ years of experience in a material handling role.

  • You have 1 year utilizing Oracle/WMS or 2 years of experience completing transactions in other ERP/WMS systems.

  • You have 1+ year of experience operating electric-powered material handling equipment.

  • You have basic computer data entry skills.

  • You have a basic understanding of Microsoft Office.

  • You can obtain a forklift certification.

  • You have strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • You bring strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
