Job description


DC Inventory Control Specialist will assist in the successful management of the inventory reconciliation process in the distribution centers as well as assist training new DC Associates in proper picking, receiving, and stocking procedures. This position will act as lead and ensure inventory issues are handled in a timely manner. $21.35 per hour.
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Perform receiving error recounts and adjust inventory as needed, reporting back through Warehouse Manager to office team.
  • Investigate picking errors (Overs/Shorts), write invoices or credits as needed, and supply results to Production Supervisor.
  • Responsible for training new DC Associates in proper picking, receiving, and stocking techniques in accordance with current DC procedures.
  • Ability to observe and coach DC Associates that are consistently presenting picking errors.
  • Availability to work with managers at all levels on inventory issues.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Education Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • 6 months -- 1 year of previous experience working with WMS
  • Motivated, self-starter with exceptional written and oral communication and comprehension skills
  • Ability to train and teach others
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Accurate and precise
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong background in computers with solid understanding of all Microsoft office Suite programs

Preferred Skills:
  • Proficient with ComCept and HighJump software systems

Additional Notes:
  • This position may require travel/work between main DC and off-site.
