Job description

Position Summary:

The Fulfillment / Quality Specialist is responsible for end-to-end order fulfillment while ensuring all products meet established quality standards prior to shipment. This role combines picking, packing, and shipping responsibilities with quality inspection, compliance, and continuous improvement support to ensure accuracy, product integrity, and customer satisfaction.


Essential Job Functions:_

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders according to work orders 
  • Verify item accuracy, quantities, and customer-specific packaging requirements 
  • Prepare shipments using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit 
  • Label, stage, and coordinate outgoing shipments (UPS, FedEx, LTL, freight carriers) 
  • Maintain shipping documentation and ensure timely order processing 
  • Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock verification
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of products prior to shipment 
  • Verify packaging meets customer specifications and internal quality standards 
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials or finished goods 
  • Ensure proper labeling, traceability, and documentation accuracy 
  • Report quality issues and collaborate on corrective actions 
  • Support root cause investigations related to defects, damages, or customer complaints 
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems (e.g., ISO standards, if applicable)
  • Follow all company policies, SOPs, and safety procedures
  • Provide general administrative support to leadership as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • 1–3 years of experience in fulfillment, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
  • Experience with quality inspection or quality control processes preferred
  • Familiarity with shipping systems, ERP (NetSuite), or warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus
  • Basic math, reading, and computer skills
  • Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred 


Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, and utilize hand and finger dexterity to perform work. The employee will move throughout the warehouse in order to manage/conduct inventory. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, smell, talk and hear. The employee will lift, push, pull or move up to fifty (50) pounds or more with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the office work environment is usually quiet. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in a light industrial environment is usually moderate to loud. The overall work environment is a general manufacturing plant environment with Material Handling Equipment and machinery operations. Hearing protection, full enclosed shoes or safety shoes, safety glasses and other protective equipment must be worn in designated areas.
