WMS Administrator
Objective:
We seek a WMS Administrator who operates with self-directed ownership, a strong commitment to collaboration, and the desire to become and thrive as the technical expert over our warehouse systems. This person sees what needs to be done, forecasting and resolving warehouse system problems before they impact operations, while building technical expertise, coaching others on best practices, and acting on it. They work with significant autonomy and independent judgment within the established technical direction, serving as the primary point of support for a distribution center and collaborating effectively across business operations, vendor partners, and IT teams to ensure AutomationDirect's Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) run reliably, perform optimally, and deliver the value the organization depends on.
This person takes active ownership of incidents, system monitoring, enhancement activities, project coordination, testing, training, and troubleshooting. They are the technical expert and trusted advisor for these critical systems. They embrace change and ambiguity, adapt rapidly to new technologies and shifting business priorities, and maintain focus amid competing demands.
This position is an on-site position, working at multiple ADC facilities in Forsyth County, GA

Responsibilities:
  • Own all support and operational issues distribution center facilities and warehouse systems, driving them to resolution and root cause.
  • Build and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and system-health measurement for WMS/WCS so problems are forecasted and resolved before impacting operations.
  • Partner with SaaS vendors and the internal IT operations team to ensure application and overall system performance.
  • Engage business operations to analyze requests, question underlying requirements, and craft solutions for system improvements.
  • Lead technical coordination and execution on small and medium sized projects, including project management meetings.
  • Design, execute, and report on application testing for new system improvements, releases, enhancements, and bug fixes.
  • Build and deliver training plans and documentation for new system improvements.
  • Deploy software updates and enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures, support documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Mentor and train other employees on best support practices for the supported systems.
  • Duties otherwise assigned.

Qualifications:
Required
  • 3+ years supporting enterprise applications with direct responsibility for system health, troubleshooting, and vendor coordination (WMS, WCS, ERP, OMS, CRM, or comparable enterprise applications).
  • Proficiency administering Windows-based and/or cloud-hosted business applications.
  • Proficiency with SQL query development and data analysis.
  • Working Competency with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience in ecommerce, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex application issues independently, analyze root causes, and architect solutions that prevent recurrence.
  • Demonstrated history of a proactive approach: anticipating issues, identifying what needs to be done, and acting on it without waiting for direction.
  • Experience in business requirements elicitation and business analysis.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted tools for operational support, administration, automation, documentation, testing, or process improvement.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting Infios/Körber or HighJump Warehouse Advantage.
  • Experience supporting Infios/Körber WCS.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, or other scripting and automation technologies.
  • Experience supporting application integrations and middleware platforms.
  • 1+ years working in enterprise software QA.
