Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager of Testing and Commissioning to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the testing and commissioning processes for various projects, ensuring that all systems and components are installed and function according to the required specifications. This role involves managing a team of professionals, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the testing and commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless integration of testing and commissioning activities.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive testing and commissioning plans for projects.
  • Oversee the preparation of test procedures, schedules, and reports.
  • Conduct site inspections and witness testing and commissioning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the testing and commissioning process.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the team and clients.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Continuously improve testing and commissioning processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (BSEE - Electrical (with a power systems background) or BSEET, Mechanical, or related field (NETA Accreditation).
  • 10+ years of experience in testing and commissioning, with prior experience either in a testing and commissioning role or within a power utility division. Testing and Commissioning experience within power utility systems, highly desired.
  • Strong knowledge of testing and commissioning standards, practices, and procedures. (NETA, IEEE, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Proficiency in testing protocols with the ability to review testing data and procedures.
  • Professional engineering license (PE) or certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.

Work Environment:
  • This position requires both office and fieldwork. The candidate must be willing to travel to project sites as needed.

Compensation Range
$142,710.00 - $215,440.00
