Worthington Enterprises is looking for an MVH Operator on night shift. These are 12-hour shifts, 6pm to 6am, and a rotating 2-2-3 schedule. We are looking for individualswho are motivated, dependable, and ready to learn. At this facility, we produce propane cylinders used by customers across the country.
This experienced machinist works in conjunction with other members in the main valve housing department to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met, with little downtime, through machining parts needed in order to meet customers' needs and demands. This position requires strong mechanical knowledge. A detailed orientated, self-motivated, problem solver that utilizes a strong work ethic.

Job Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on cold headers/cold formers and multi-spindle screw machines
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to machine parts to specification while maintaining required tolerances
  • Perform in-process inspections to ensure efficient and accurate production prior to approval
  • Inspect finished product to verify conformance with quality standards and specifications
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Work independently and take ownership of assigned equipment and tasks
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvement
  • Follow all plant safety rules, policies, and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
  • Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and transformation initiatives, including safety initiatives
  • Assist team members as needed to support production goals
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned by lead, supervisor, or manager

Desired Experience/Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, assembly, machine operation, or related experience is helpful but not required
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to perform basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or verbal instructions
