Job description


A modern luxury oceanfront resort in Marathon with stunning views from every room, seeks a skilled Banquet Chef to lead execution of banquets, events, weddings, and group functions in a luxury oceanfront setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and execute all banquet menus and plated/c buffet events.
  • Coordinate with the sales/catering team on event details and special requests.
  • Supervise banquet kitchen staff and ensure timely, high-quality service.
  • Manage portion control, presentation, and food safety for large groups.
  • Maintain inventory and control costs for banquet operations.
  • Collaborate with the main kitchen for seamless integration of operations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Gastronomy or Hospitality, Tourism Management.
  • 4+ years of banquet or catering chef experience in a luxury hotel/resort.
  • Expertise in high-volume event cooking and menu planning.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with varying event sizes.
  • ServSafe and relevant certifications preferred.
  • Flexible availability, especially for evenings and weekends.
