Job Summary
We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team! As a Kennel Assistant, you will be providing daily care for the animals we are responsible for, ensuring all of their needs are met. That includes feeding them and cleaning their kennels. You will also be responsible for creating a loving environment, meaning you are in a good mood, since dogs are sensitive to human emotions. The ideal candidate loves animals, has basic knowledge of good animal handling procedures, and works well independently and within a team environment.
Responsibilities
  • Meet the basic and higher needs for all animals under our care, including feeding
  • Paying close attention to puppies and adults for hygiene and behavior
  • Clean kennels and work areas daily
  • Wash bedding and toys daily

Qualifications
  • Experience working with animals is desired, BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • Familiarity with animal handling procedures and best practices
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Team Player, as it is required to work well with others
  • Must work two weekends a month
  • On holidays, you are required to work a two-hour shift for late afternoon shift. (Holiday pay paid)
  • No medical issues such as problems bending, bad knees, back, or neck
  • All Medical issues must be disclosed
  • Scheduled 8 am-5 pm
  • Raises are based on job performance
