What You'll Do
Get ready to take your career to the next level. The Principal Financial Group is seeking a Director of Sales - Retirement Solutions to join our team. Your skills valuable, make a wise choice and invest them with a top tier provider!
As you partner with local intermediaries throughout Greater Los Angeles (Downtown, Westside, Valley, and South Bay), you will use your skills to position our products as the ultimate solution for the client. Here are some of the examples of the things you'll do:
  • Drive retirement plan sales throughout the market by calling on advisors to promote the sale of defined contribution and defined benefit products targeted for retirement plans in the 0 - 10M AUM or 0-25 AUM space for the right experience.
  • Build and establish relationships with financial advisors and third party administrators.
  • Collaborate with the relationship management team to pursue additional sales opportunities.

Who You Are
  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience.
  • 2+ years of retirement sales experience with deep knowledge on retirement products.
  • Strong work ethic and motivation to meet or exceed established goals.
  • Excellent consultation and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of portfolio construction, capital markets, and financial service products.
  • Experience with non-qualified plans, defined benefit and ESOP's a bonus!
Licenses Required within 5 months of employment:
    • Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63).
    • Resident Life and Health appointment must be attained.

Salary Range Information
This position offers a competitive compensation package consisting of a base salary combined with incentive earnings. The base salary will provide financial stability, while the incentive component offers additional earning potential based on performance metrics.
Salary Range
$85000 - $90000 / year
Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.
