Embedded Middleware Engineer

Job Type: Contract
Work Model: Dallas TX 
Experience: 5+ years preferred

Pay Rate : $70/C2C and $70/W2

Job Summary

We are looking for an Embedded Middleware Engineer with strong experience in Embedded Linux, C programming, middleware development, networking, and system debugging. Experience with RDK/RDK-B/RDK-V or similar embedded platforms is highly preferred.

The engineer will work on connected devices, integrating SoC vendor software and troubleshooting issues across the software, networking, and hardware layers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain middleware software for embedded Linux platforms.
  • Write and optimize C code for embedded systems.
  • Integrate SoC/vendor software from platforms such as Broadcom or Qualcomm.
  • Support system bring-up and platform integration.
  • Debug issues across middleware, networking, Linux, and hardware.
  • Analyze Wi-Fi packets and network traffic.
  • Work with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP and other IP-based protocols.
  • Use tools such as Wireshark, tcpdump, and iPerf for troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with architects, QA, hardware teams, and SoC vendors.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and improve system performance.
