Job description

            

Job Purpose                                       

The primary objective of this role is to support the generation of capital sales revenue by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within different regional white spaces, to build strong relationships with new and existing clients, and to help the Geozones manage the sales process from the start to finish.

Roles & Responsibilities

 

OPERATIONS

         Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the company in the oil and gas sector. This includes prospecting for potential customers, generating leads, and assessing market trends

         Help the Geozones manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals. This includes preparing and checking proposals, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction, follow up and support as per the Customer Support Model - CSM in place

         Develop accurate sales forecasts and track performance against targets for Wireline Capital Sales Business Model.

         Stay up-to-date on market trends, wireline tool competitor activity, and industry news to identify opportunities for growth and innovation for Wireline Capital Sales

         Support and execute the Global capital sales strategy to generate revenue and achieve sales objectives

COMMUNICATION

         Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and external

         Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, stakeholders, and clients in the manufacturing and capital sales industry. This includes networking, meeting with clients, and attending industry events and involvement in marketing campaigns

         Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as marketing, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales and operations, to ensure that sales goals are aligned with company objectives

         Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, including revenue, pipeline, and performance metrics

 

Experience & Education

 

REQUIRED

         Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a technical science

         10 years minimum in a Wireline service or Wireline tool manufacturing company

PREFERRED

         Master's degree

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 

REQUIRED

         Knowledge of the oil and gas industry: A good understanding of the oil and gas industry, including market trends, competitor activity, regulatory landscape, and emerging technologies

         In-depth knowledge of sales and marketing principles, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, closing techniques, and customer relationship management

         Strong sales skills, including the ability to generate leads, build relationships, conduct effective sales meetings, and close deals

         Understanding of financial concepts such as cash flow, return on investment, and profit margins to effectively negotiate and structure complex sales agreements

         Demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, identify and mitigate risks, and provide strategic guidance to the functional teams

         Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders

         Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate the value proposition of products and services to a range of stakeholders

         Strong negotiation skills to close deals, structure agreements, and manage customer expectations

         Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage projects, provide guidance and support various team members

         Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve sales targets and objectives

         Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer requirements

PREFERRED

         Familiarity with technical aspects of Weatherford Wireline Tools

         Familiarity with business development processes, including market research, client targeting, proposal development, and opportunity assessment

         Ability to think strategically, assess market trends, and develop effective sales strategies that align with the Global overall goals and vision

Travel Requirement: This role may require domestic travel of up to:  <30%
