Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer      Science, Telecommunications, or related technical discipline; or      equivalent professional experience supporting enterprise, industrial, or      manufacturing systems.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting      production systems, wireless networks, or manufacturing applications.
  • Experience in incident management, root cause      analysis, and cross-functional technical coordination in operational      environments.
  • Experience supporting systems in regulated,      high-availability manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

Technical Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to review, debug, and modify      existing backend application code written by other engineers.
  • Experience working with relational databases;      strong proficiency in SQL required.
  • Experience with Oracle or comparable enterprise      database platforms.
  • Hands-on experience in both Linux and Windows      operating environments, including system-level troubleshooting.
  • Experience using source code version control      systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
  • Familiarity with structured development, testing,      and release management processes.
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP networking      fundamentals, VLAN, routing concepts, and wireless communication      principles.
  • Experience supporting LTE/Private LTE/CBRS      infrastructure is strongly preferred.

Wireless System Engineer

I. Responsibilities

Operational Support and Issue Resolution

  • Provide day-to-day operational support for CBRS Private 5G/LTE infrastructure, backend applications, and manufacturing system integrations.
  • Troubleshoot user-reported issues related to wireless connectivity, system performance, and application functionality.
  • Manage and resolve service tickets in accordance with defined SLAs and production impact priorities.
  • Conduct structured root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate with internal IT, network, facilities, and external vendors to restore services in high-availability manufacturing environments.
  • Ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of CBRS wireless infrastructure supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations.

CBRS Wireless Infrastructure Management

  • Support configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of:
    • CBRS radios
    • 5G/LTE routers and gateways
    • SIM provisioning and APN configuration
    • Core/EPC(where applicable) components
  • Monitor wireless KPIs including signal strength, throughput, latency, packet loss, and device connectivity.
  • Perform RF-level troubleshooting in semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Support antenna validation, coverage impact assessments, and interference mitigation efforts.
  • Participate in planned maintenance, upgrades, and controlled change windows.

System and Application Lifecycle Management

  • Support deployment, configuration, relocation, expansion, and decommissioning of wireless and related systems across manufacturing facilities.
  • Assess risks, system dependencies, integration touchpoints, and operational impacts before implementing changes.
  • Participate in structured change management processes including rollback planning.
  • Ensure system stability and continuity aligned with production uptime requirements.

Application Development and System Integration

  • Develop and maintain backend applications and data collection tools supporting CBRS monitoring, analytics, and operational reporting.
  • Review, debug, and optimize existing backend code written by other engineers.
  • Improve application performance, scalability, and data reliability.
  • Design and maintain SQL queries and database structures supporting system monitoring and reporting.
  • Integrate CBRS-connected devices with upstream and downstream systems (e.g., MES, PCS, monitoring dashboards, enterprise platforms).
  • Support API-based integrations and secure data exchange mechanisms when required.

Cross-Functional Coordination and Project Execution

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, IT infrastructure, facilities, and external OEM vendors.
  • Track project timelines, risks, dependencies, and action items.
  • Support CBRS expansion, relocation, or system enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide structured technical updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Align wireless system readiness with manufacturing production schedules.

Process Documentation and SOP Maintenance

  • Develop and maintain:
    • SOPs
    • Network diagrams
    • RF documentation
    • Configuration baselines
    • Release and change documentation
  • Maintain accurate as-built documentation for wireless and related systems.
  • Ensure documentation reflects current production configurations and evolving system architecture.

Operational Improvements and Reliability Enhancement

  • Identify system bottlenecks, RF coverage gaps, performance degradation patterns, and single points of failure.
  • Recommend configuration improvements, redundancy enhancements, and performance tuning strategies.
  • Improve monitoring visibility through logging, alerting thresholds, and dashboard enhancements.
  • Proactively adapt systems to evolving business, production, and technical requirements.
