In this role, you will be at the innovative center of the RF system engineering and architecture group responsible for defining and managing RF requirements for Apple’s devices and use cases, driving the 3GPP RF specifications in alignment with Apple’s strategy, and collaborating on the exploration and development of RF requirements for 6G technologies.","responsibilities":"Work closely with the RF Design, Antenna, Carrier, and regulatory teams to develop RF requirements for 6G cellular technology features
Be responsible for RF requirements and features in Apple’s cellular platforms and products

Preferred Qualifications
We consider background in 3GPP RAN working group participation (particularly RAN4) and a desire to drive practical RF innovation into 3GPP RAN4 specifications a plus.
We value your strong analytical and interpersonal skills with an ability to thrive in a multi-functional environment.
We value your experience in simulation development and scripting as well as experience incorporating AI and ML tools into your daily engineering practices.
We consider a deep understanding of digital communications theory and cellular network design principles to be important; understanding of antenna array theory would be a plus.
Minimum Qualifications
BSEE required.
We value your 10+ years of relevant experience in RF, including direct expertise in transmitter, receiver architectures, and system design.
You have in-depth knowledge of cellular radio standards (GSM, UMTS, LTE, NR), regulatory requirements, and carrier requirements including their implications on overall radio architectures and RF system design.
You bring experience in RF roadmap definition including ecosystem and 3GPP scoping towards RF requirements definition
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120,300 and $210,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
