Job description

Wireless Communications and Networking Specialist

The Opportunity:

As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to conducting cutting edge foundational research and development specializing in networking and sensing for Army applications.

In this role, you will support a team dedicated to advancing self-managing, resilient, and intelligent wireless networks. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts across physical layer technologies, network optimization, signal processing, applied machine learning, and wireless communications experimentation. You will have access to state-of-the-art experimental facilities and high-performance computing platforms to efficiently execute research and development tasks.

You Have:

  • Experience with AI / ML for wireless networks
  • Experience with ad hoc heterogeneous networks
  • Experience with physical layer security
  • Experience with adversarial ML in wireless networks
  • Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computational Sciences

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with reconfigurable intelligent surfaces
  • Experience with EM signature management and cross-layer optimization
  • Experience with wireless network modeling and simulation
  • Experience with testbed development and experimentation

Compensation

Salary range: $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.

Work Model

  • Remote: If this position is listed as remote, there may still be occasions when you are required to work in person at a Booz Allen or customer facility.
  • Hybrid: If this position is listed as hybrid, you will be expected to work from a Booz Allen facility frequently, in alignment with leadership expectations and the needs of the role. You may also be required to work from or visit a customer facility.
  • Onsite: If this position is listed as onsite, work will primarily be performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, where employees will collaborate directly with colleagues and customers as required by the role.
