Job description

As a Wireless Systems Engineer, you will be part of the team developing and implementing algorithms to enable wireless connectivity between Terrestrial Bluetooth devices and satellites. You will be involved in all aspects of the modeling, system design and implementation of wireless communication and work with cross-functional groups of hardware-software engineers.ย 

This is a full-time position with preference to be based in Seattle, WA (Relocation Assistance Available) but open to a remote work option (for senior/more experienced candidates).

  • Anticipation of Needs: ย  Identify problems, think creatively, and rapidly produce reliable and cost-effective solutions to meet the ever growing and changing needs of an early-stage company

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of directly relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (Masters preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of communication theory & signal processing-related algorithm design (such as channel estimation, equalization, beamforming, timing recovery, coding, error correction, etc.)
  • Knowledge in existing wireless communication protocols; such as 5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, 802.11ad/ay or Bluetooth/Bluetooth Low Energy.
  • Expertise in developing signal processing and wireless communications systems (e.g., FSK/OFDM/MIMO, etc.) and hands-on experience with lab testing and characterization.
  • Experience with Matlab or Python and/or C/C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation.
  • Experience and knowledge on High Level Synthesis (HLS), silicon prototyping, FPGA development and emulation systems.
  • Experience on bring-up of real systems in silicon/FPGA/SoC and use of lab test equipment such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, etc.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to learn new technologies, network protocols and tools rapidly.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills is a must
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when specific highly-critical events dictate as needed
  • Passion for creating state-of-the-art software systems

STRONGLY DESIRED

  • 5 - 10 years relevant experienceย ย 
  • Experience with multi-radio coexistence management.
  • Experience in modem architecture, microprocessor architecture, hardware and software control.
  • Experience on low power algorithm design for power critical application.
