Transport Refrigeration Services, Inc. is hiring an experienced Reefer Technician (Transport Refrigeration Technician) to service, diagnose, and repair refrigerated transport equipment and fleet vehicles. What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Repair minor and major issues of refrigeration units and the ability to diagnose problems with the units which included but not limited to:ย 

oย ย  ย Use of OEM software to diagnose issues, read codes, clear codes, download
oย ย  ย Ability to read refrigerant unit wiring diagrams and wiring schematicsย 
oย ย  ย Ability to use multi-meter to perform electrical diagnosticsย 
oย ย  ย Ability to program microprocessor
oย ย  ย Proper use of reclaiming machine to recover and recycle refrigerant
oย ย  ย Proficient in soldering all types of joints and tubes

  • Servicing truck systems โ€” cooling, fuel, drive train, brakes, suspension
  • Performing PMs and DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
  • Repairing ABS systems, APU units, and trailer structures
  • Roadside service, tire repairs, and equipment cleaning
  • Operates company and customer vehicles, forklifts, hoists and tools
  • Maintaining accurate repair times and a clean workspace
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • Obtain a toolbox and required tools
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant systems
