What You'll Do:
Provide servicing support for the syndication portfolios including Capital Markets, Franchise Lending, Institutional Leverage Portfolios, First Insurance Funding, Wintrust Business Credit, Real Estate Services, Derivatives, Wealth Services, and International Services. Book & fund syndication bought and sold; post payments, advances, repricing and payoffs; process loan maintenance. Research, reconcile and clear accrual discrepancy and loan related general ledger accounts.
  • Review and interpret commercial loan approvals and documents for proper booking on the CLS loan servicing system. Coordinate closing disbursements with Capital Market and Documentation Team. Prepare funding and upfront fee notices to syndicate members. Disburse loans via wire transfer system and/or credit to DDA. Ensure proper booking and earnings of all loan fees/costs in accordance with loan documentation.
  • Maintain loan system data integrity to accurately reflect loan file contents, as well as ensure accurate management reporting.
  • Coordinate loan advances with syndicate members for syndication portfolios, ensuring timely communication of information necessary for processing. Prepare funding notices to syndicate members for syndication sold portfolio.
  • Process facility & loan payments, payoffs and general maintenance for syndication portfolios within the CLS loan servicing system. Prepare notices and wires to external syndicate members for syndication sold portfolio.
  • Communicate and respond to inquiries from syndicate members, lenders, loan admins/CSP, credit reporting, finance, and quality control groups.
  • Review of daily report for auto debited loan payments and rate changes and prepare notices to syndicated members for syndication sold portfolio.
  • Review daily reports for sweep rejects, swingline settlements and perform quality control of new tranche setup.
  • Research and reconcile out of balance situations and communicate to syndicate members if necessary.
  • Provide effective back up for members of the syndication servicing team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in commercial loan operations or commercial servicing.
  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience preferred.
  • Understanding of complex commercial lending structures and loan documentation.
  • Strong understanding of participation/syndication lending structures.
  • Prior experience in commercial loan operations and a good understanding of loan accounting systems, general ledger and finance interaction.
  • Experience with commercial loan systems/software.
  • Ability to perform duties with a high level of accuracy, meet deadlines within tight timeframes and multi-task when the situation calls for it.
  • Ability to recognize and communicate special handling needs for complex loan transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
