Wire Three information

What is a wire three?

Wire Three jobs typically refer to positions involving the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical wiring systems, particularly those designated as 'wire three' in building codes or electrical schematics. These jobs are commonly found in construction, electrical contracting, or maintenance services and may involve working with low- to medium-voltage wiring in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Workers in these roles are responsible for ensuring safe and compliant electrical connections, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to relevant safety standards and regulations.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a wire three, and why are they important?

At CesiumAstro, we are developers and pioneers of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. You will have the opportunity to take full ownership of wire harness designs, including schematic development, cable routing, connector selection, and harness assembly drawings. The environment is highly collaborative, working shoulder-to-shoulder with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and harness assembly technicians to develop cutting-edge space and airborne systems.
The role encompasses the full design process, from defining initial specifications through integration and test. You will also participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and recommendations to enhance the performance and reliability of wire harness systems.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

  • Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and electronic loads.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy in design documentation and technical specifications.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Aerospace industry experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience designing for space environments.
  • Hands-on experience assembling wire harnesses.
