Job description

Heltronics Inc. is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our Cable and Wire harness department. Assemble electrical cable & wiring harnesses, control panels and related assemblies by completing essential functions and responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Determine and identify materials needed and sequence of assembly by reading instructions from a job sheet, work order, diagram and/or wire list
  • Read Technical drawings and build assembly accordingly
  • Begin assembly of harness by selecting wire of specified color, marking, or length and loops wires between guide pegs on harness board, following color-coded lines or sequential numbers on board or diagram
  • Use soldering iron to join components and/or wires to connector and circuit boards
  • Ensure wire harness meets specifications by testing wiring continuity with tester
  • Completes wiring harness or assembly by marking identifying data in necessary locations
  • Operate terminating machine, air/electric tools, air presses, stripping equipment, hand tools, soldering equipment and any other equipment needed to complete assemblies, following established safety practices and procedures

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years related experience
  • Experience to solder small parts and just various hand tools.
  • Able to use a ruler
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds
  • Vision abilities including close vision and color vision to identify parts'
