We’re hiring for a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector position in Los Angeles and Orange County area. If you have a passion for cable harnesses and a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
This is a flexible, full-time or part-time role, averaging 3- 5 days per week, on an as-needed basis. Where inspectors may accept or decline individual inspection requests.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers
  • Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
  • Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
  • Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
  • Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
  • Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
  • Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
  • Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized
 
Required Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
  • Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
  • Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
  • Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620
  • Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
  • Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector
