Job description

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is currently searching for a remarkable and guest-focused Activities Guide for Sun Mountain Lodge in Winthrop, WA.


This role is responsible for coordinating recreational activities, assisting guests with rentals and reservations, and ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable lake experience. The ideal candidate thrives in an outdoor environment, delivers exceptional customer service, and maintains strong attention to detail.

Job Purpose:

  • Greet guests and provide information on lake activities, amenities, and safety guidelines
  • Coordinate and manage rentals (kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, etc.) and track usage
  • Process reservations, payments, and waivers accurately using internal systems
  • Monitor lake activity areas to ensure guest safety and compliance with lodge policies
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lake office, dock, and equipment areas
  • Conduct routine inspections of recreational equipment and report maintenance needs
  • Assist with the setup and coordination of scheduled activities and group events
  • Enforce safety procedures and respond appropriately to guest concerns or incidents
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience

Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn reservation/POS systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (equipment such as kayaks or paddleboards)
  • Comfortable working near and on the water


Salary-$20.00 Hourly

Insurance: Medical, dental, vision insurance available for full-time employees and their families; Short-term and Long-term Disability Insurance; Supplemental Life Insurance; and Flexible Savings Account

Retirement: After 6 months of employment, employees are eligible to enroll for 401k with up to a 5% company match

Paid Time Off: Vacation Time - 80 hours on your first 3 years of service; Sick Time – 1 hour accrued per 30 hours worked

Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
