Relax Associate

Position Summary:
The Relax Bartender is responsible for creating a welcoming, social, and wellness-inspired beverage experience in the Relax evening reception at Element Hotels. This role delivers friendly, efficient service while preparing beverages, maintaining a clean bar environment, and fostering a warm, community-driven atmosphere for guests.
This position is Monday through Thursday 4:00pm-8:00pm. Alcohol Server Certificate Preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience:
  • Greet guests with a friendly, engaging demeanor.
  • Create a relaxed, social environment consistent with Element brand culture.
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on beverages and light offerings.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service and guest satisfaction.
Beverage Service:
  • Prepare and serve beer, wine, soda, and water in accordance with brand standards.
  • Maintain consistency in drink quality and presentation.
  • Monitor guest consumption and follow responsible serving practices.
Bar Operations:
  • Set up and break down the Relax bar area before and after service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and surrounding space.
  • Restock supplies, glassware, and ingredients as needed.
Compliance & Safety:
  • Verify guest age and identification in accordance with local laws.
  • Follow all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Report incidents or concerns to management promptly.
Team Support:
  • Collaborate with front desk and housekeeping teams to enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist with light food setup or service if applicable.
  • Support additional hotel operations as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Previous bartending or food & beverage experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic drink preparation and bar operations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must meet legal requirements for alcohol service certification (if applicable).

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, social environment.
