Job Description:
    Provide Steady-State infrastructure support across numerous Envoy Air Information Systems within several data centers.
    Environments range from ASP Cloud-based applications hosted by 3rd party vendors to legacy internally developed applications hosted within the American Airlines data centers managed by HP.
    Facilitate coordination with 3rd party hosting and software vendors, Envoy and AA IT Network, Development and Support organizations and Envoy Business groups, including Line Maintenance, Heavy Maintenance, Technical Publications and Stations Operations Control (SOC).
    Deliver excellent Customer Service to all facets of the organization encountered during the course of carrying out job functions.
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
    Create processes, procedures and metrics for excellent service delivery
    Work with service owners for continued process improvement
    Recommend new tools and other modifications to the environment to improve efficiency and reduce cost
    Own End-to-End Change Management process, including building and configuration of packages, versioning control, planning, approvals, installation and support
    Provide Citrix and Mid-Tier server admin and support, maintaining domain profiles, security configurations, Active Directory groups, complete regular performance monitoring and trend analysis
    Development and support for technology applications and tools utilized to carry out job functions
    Provide on-call infrastructure and app support (24x7 On-Call Support, exchanged between 2 resources); receive calls from HP Help Desk and Mid-Range, receive problem critical messages originating from monitoring tools, work with end users, troubleshoot, resolve and/or escalate issues
    Willingness and aptitude to learn application functionality and provide minimal functional support for some applications, such as logging functional tickets with software providers, reproducing the issues, bug-fix and new release testing, coordinating with business owners for release sign-off and implementation.
Skills:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
    Self-motivated individual with strong desire to solve problems through investigative means; strong organizational skills
    Ability to work independently and manage ones time effectively
    Exercise good judgment and decision making skills
    Ability to author and execute basic SQL (Oracle) scripting and queries and basic to intermediate understanding of Oracle Database (11g)
    Working knowledge of mobility applications and devices
    Citrix Administration experience
    Proficient in Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 2008 Server OS, installing and configuring applications and services
    Experience in IBM WebSphere/MQSeries technologies .
Education/Experience:
    3+ years related IT industry experience required
    Bachelor degree preferred; ideally specializing in information systems, computer science or engineering
Airline experience a plus
