Job description

ABOUT SQUEEGEE SQUAD OF WICHITA

Squeegee Squad of Wichita is a locally owned, professionally operated exterior cleaning company serving residential and commercial clients across Wichita and the surrounding region. We specialize in window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter cleaning, building restoration, and high-rise rope descent work. We're proud of our safety record, our hand-cleaning methodology, and the trust we've built with hundreds of clients — from neighborhood homes to downtown high-rises.

We're growing fast and looking for technicians who take pride in their work and show up ready to perform.

THE ROLE

This is a hybrid technician position. You'll handle ground-level work — residential windows, storefronts, commercial buildings, pressure washing, and gutter cleaning — and grow into high-rise rope descent (RDS) projects as your skills and certifications develop. No high-rise experience required to start. We'll train you. What we need is someone reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to grow with us.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Ground-Level Work:

  • Clean windows on residential homes, storefronts, and commercial buildings using professional techniques and equipment
  • Operate and maintain pressure washing equipment for driveways, building exteriors, and surfaces
  • Clean gutters and perform gutter inspections; use gutter-friendly ladder setup to protect client property
  • Perform caulking, sealing, and basic building restoration tasks as assigned
  • Carefully set up, move, and return outdoor furniture and equipment before and after each job
  • Take before-and-after photos of every job for quality documentation
  • Follow all SOPs, checklists, and company quality standards on every visit

High-Rise Work (RDS-certified techs + advancement path for new hires):

  • Perform rope descent system (RDS) window cleaning on multi-story and high-rise commercial buildings
  • Inspect and set up rope access equipment in compliance with IWCA safety standards
  • Maintain daily production targets while upholding zero-incident safety practices
  • Communicate clearly with crew leaders and supervisors throughout each project
  • Complete all required safety documentation and daily job checklists

Every Technician:

  • Arrive on time, in uniform, and prepared at the start of every shift
  • Represent Squeegee Squad professionally with every client interaction
  • Maintain and care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Report job status and completion through company systems
  • Participate in weekly training and skills development sessions

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and at heights (ladders, lifts, elevated access)
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
  • Reliable — strong attendance and punctuality
  • Coachable, detail-oriented, and a team player

Preferred (Big Plus):

  • Prior window cleaning or exterior services experience (Fish Window Cleaning, Window Genie, or similar)
  • IWCA RDS certification — or willingness to earn it (we support this)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Experience with pressure washing or gutter cleaning equipment

To Advance to the High-Rise Track:

  • Current IWCA RDS certification
  • Demonstrated performance at or above ground-level production benchmarks
  • Supervisor recommendation and completed ride-along evaluation

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Pay:

  • $25–$30/hr — based on performance and experience
  • High-rise assignments include additional earning potential
  • Daily per diem provided for out-of-town project assignments

Insurance & Protection:

  • Medical insurance option after 90 days
  • $20,000 Term Life Insurance (employee-designated beneficiaries)
  • AD&D additional $20,000 coverage — company-paid
  • Short-Term Disability at 60% of weekly wage — company-paid

Time Off:

  • Paid holidays
  • PTO & sick time after 1 year

Retirement:

  • Retirement plan with company match after 90 days

Growth & Culture:

  • Hands-on training and clear path to advancement — including Crew Leader
  • RDS certification support for eligible technicians
  • Respectful, team-first environment with regular team outings
  • Quality equipment and well-maintained vehicles

SCHEDULE & TERRITORY

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays during peak season
  • Service territory: Wichita and surrounding areas within a 75-mile radius
  • Peak seasons: Window cleaning (Mar–Dec) | Gutter cleaning (Mar–Apr, Nov–Dec) | Pressure washing (Mar–Apr, Jun–Sep)
  • Some travel required for high-rise and out-of-town project assignments
