Job description

What you'll do
  • Effectively use painting/staining techniques and follow Company processes, work orders, specifications, and plans for high-end residential and commercial projects.
  • Accurately apply paints, stains, and finishes using a variety of brushes. Apply caulking, surface coatings, and perform minor cosmetic repairs as well as masking and pre-spray prep.
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed to ensure a smooth and clean finish. Disassemble and reassemble building components, including windows, doors, jams, etc.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in painting (preferred).
  • At least 3 years experience as a Painter or Stainer or similar transferable experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work on a team, willingness to learn new skills.
  • Able to keep paint shop and tools neat, clean and organized.
  • Preferred skills, but willing to train the right candidate:
    • Proficient in the use of brushes and spray guns.
    • Advanced knowledge of paint/stain types and application techniques.
    • Familiar with a variety of wood types, stains, and finishing techniques; knowledgeable about factors that affect product quality outcomes.
  • Perform heavy physical demands (i.e. lift and move doors that can weigh up to 100lbs occasionally, 50lbs frequently, and 20lbs constantly).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
