Experienced Glass Glazier / Lead Installer


Location: Coachella Valley and surrounding areas
Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Overtime: Occasional overtime on Fridays based on business needs
Job Type: Full-time


Position Summary

We are seeking two experienced Glass Glaziers / Lead Installers to install, repair, and service custom residential and commercial glass products. Candidates must be able to work independently, deliver high-quality workmanship, troubleshoot installation issues, and provide professional customer service at different job sites.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with custom glass installations, strong measuring and mechanical skills, and the ability to safely handle large, heavy, and fragile glass products.


Responsibilities

  • Install custom shower enclosures, windows, doors, mirrors, storefronts, partitions, safety glass, insulated glass, and specialty glass
  • Remove, repair, and replace damaged glass and related components
  • Accurately measure, cut, fit, and install glass and glazing materials
  • Assemble and install frames, channels, hardware, door closers, and related components
  • Apply silicone, sealants, adhesives, glazing compounds, and weatherproofing materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, work orders, drawings, and project specifications
  • Inspect glass, hardware, frames, and materials before installation
  • Troubleshoot issues involving doors, windows, shower enclosures, hardware, and glazing systems
  • Verify completed installations for alignment, appearance, operation, sealing, and overall quality
  • Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, supervisors, and office staff
  • Protect customers’ property and maintain clean, organized job sites
  • Document completed and incomplete work, job-site conditions, and materials needed
  • Safely operate glazing tools, power tools, ladders, and lifting equipment
  • Provide guidance or direction to helpers and less-experienced installers as needed
  • Travel to residential, commercial, and construction job sites throughout the service area

Qualifications

  • Professional glass glazing and installation experience is required
  • Lead Glazier, Senior Installer, or similar field experience is preferred
  • Custom residential glass installation experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience installing shower enclosures, windows, doors, mirrors, storefronts, panels, and specialty glass
  • Ability to accurately measure, handle, fabricate, and install glass
  • Knowledge of glazing hardware, silicone, sealants, adhesives, and related materials
  • Ability to read blueprints, architectural drawings, measurements, and work orders
  • Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional communication and customer-service skills
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be willing and able to travel between job sites

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and reach
