Shine of Carmel / Indianapolis | Starting the last week of September 2026
Shine is hiring holiday lighting installers for the Carmel and Indianapolis area. We offer weekly hourly pay, an additional daily performance bonus, and full-time employment opportunities on our window cleaning and pressure washing team after lighting season.
We're looking for dependable people who are comfortable with ladders and tools, work well with others, and take pride in the finished job. Experience in landscaping, construction, roofing, painting, window cleaning, or other hands-on work is welcome.
Pay and benefits
  • $20-$25 per hour, based on relevant experience and skills.
  • $50 daily performance bonus on qualifying workdays, in addition to hourly pay.
  • Full-time employment opportunities beyond lighting season for those interested in joining our window cleaning and pressure washing team.
  • Weekly pay
  • 30-day pay review, with an opportunity to increase your hourly rate within the advertised range based on demonstrated skills, reliability, and work quality.
  • $100 work-gear allowance after 30 days toward boots or cold-weather clothing.
  • Schedules communicated in advance, with updates when weather affects the work.

Daily performance bonus requirements will be explained during hiring.
What you'll do
  • Install roofline lighting, wrap trees and shrubs, and hang wreaths and garland at homes and commercial properties.
  • Prepare materials and work with your crew to complete professional installations.
  • Test displays and handle lighting maintenance throughout the season.
  • Remove, label, and pack lighting after the holidays.
  • Keep equipment, vehicles, and job sites organized.

What we're looking for
  • Consistent attendance and transportation to the reporting location.
  • Comfort with heights, ladders, and physical outdoor work.
  • Ability to carry equipment and work outdoors in changing fall and winter weather.
  • Willingness to take direction and learn installation methods.

Previous holiday lighting experience is helpful, but not required.
Schedule and employment options
The holiday lighting season starts the last week of September and runs through February, including installation and post-holiday takedown. Hours vary with workload, the phase of the season, and weather.
