Job description

Window & Door Department Manager

Clearwater, FL | Full-Time | Confidential Search

We are seeking an experienced Window & Door Department Manager to lead the window and door division for an established residential exterior remodeling company in the Clearwater market.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the Florida window and door industry inside and out. The right person will bring strong technical knowledge of measuring, ordering, installation, products, and project execution, while also understanding the business side of production—protecting margins, controlling costs, solving problems, and identifying opportunities to grow revenue.

This person will take ownership of the department and its projects from beginning to end. Until the division grows enough to warrant a dedicated Field Supervisor, the Department Manager will oversee both the business and field sides of the operation, including crews, installations, and final project walkthroughs.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operations and performance of the Window & Door department
  • Manage projects from handoff through installation and final completion
  • Coordinate scheduling, materials, crews, homeowners, and other project requirements to keep jobs moving efficiently
  • Personally oversee field installations and installation crews while the division grows
  • Conduct final project walkthroughs with homeowners and crews to ensure quality, completion, and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure accurate measurements, product specifications, ordering, scheduling, and installation
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert for Florida-specific window and door products and installation requirements
  • Troubleshoot complex or non-standard projects and develop practical solutions that allow opportunities to move forward
  • Partner with Sales to evaluate project requirements, quoting considerations, and potential solutions
  • Manage installers, crews, vendors, materials, scheduling, and quality
  • Protect and improve project margins through effective management of labor, materials, vendors, scheduling, and operational efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without sacrificing workmanship or the customer experience
  • Help grow department revenue, efficiency, and overall performance
  • Build processes and infrastructure that can support additional field leadership as the department grows
  • Maintain accurate project information and communication within the company's CRM; experience with ServiceTitan is strongly preferred
  • Utilize spreadsheets, Outlook, and other business technology to manage projects, reporting, communication, and department activity
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture and contribute positively to the broader team

What We're Looking For

  • Direct professional experience with residential windows and doors in Florida is required
  • Strong technical knowledge of window and door measuring, ordering, installation, products, and troubleshooting
  • Experience managing residential window and door projects from beginning to end
  • Experience overseeing installation crews and field execution
  • Strong understanding of Florida-specific window and door practices and requirements
  • Previous production, operations, field, or department leadership experience
  • Understanding of job costing, margins, labor, materials, and operational efficiency
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to find solutions for challenging or non-standard projects
  • Comfortable partnering with Sales and homeowners to move projects forward
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Revenue- and margin-focused mindset
  • Strong computer literacy, including CRM systems, spreadsheets, and Outlook
  • ServiceTitan experience is highly preferred
  • Positive, collaborative leadership style with the ability to foster a strong team culture

Compensation & Perks

  • Base salary around $65,000, depending on experience
  • Monthly performance bonus
  • Company truck
  • Fuel card

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of a growing Window & Door division. You'll have the autonomy to solve problems, improve profitability, manage projects from beginning to end, and help build the structure and team needed to support future growth.
