Position Summary

The Lot Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance, organization, movement, and readiness of dealership inventory and customer vehicles. This role supports both the Sales and Service departments by ensuring vehicles are properly parked, merchandised, fueled, cleaned, and prepared for delivery or display.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail oriented, fast paced, and understands the importance of presentation, urgency, and customer experience in a dealership environment.

Primary Responsibilities

Organize and maintain new and used vehicle inventory across the lot

Ensure vehicles are properly parked, lined, tagged, and merchandised according to dealership standards

Move vehicles safely between departments, storage areas, detail, service, and customer delivery locations

Maintain cleanliness and presentation of dealership inventory and display areas

Install dealer tags, license plates, window stickers, and marketing materials as needed

Fuel vehicles and ensure battery maintenance when required

Assist with customer vehicle pickup and delivery support

Support sales staff with vehicle pulls, front line preparation, and delivery staging

Conduct routine lot walks to identify inventory issues, damage, low fuel, dead batteries, or missing information

Help maintain showroom readiness and overall dealership appearance

Follow all safety procedures and company driving policies

Assist during special events, inventory counts, and lot reorganization projects
