Job description

) Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for pool housekeepers. The Housekeeper will provide clean, sanitary, orderly and satisfying surroundings for the residents, associates and guests. Under the leadership of the Housekeeping Manager, the housekeeper will perform housekeeping services according to established policies and procedures to maintain great levels of cleanliness.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, dust mops, sweeper extractors, scrubbers.
  • Clean carpets, tile, wood flooring.
  • Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection free condition washing, cleaning, replenishing and replacing supplies.
  • Required to work in residential and common areas as well as public restrooms, pool and other recreational areas.
  • Responsible for disposal of trash.
  • Must handle various cleaning chemicals and comply with regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department. Read and understand MSDS and labels.
  • May be required to perform tasks which involve exposure to visible blood or body fluids and must follow required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of material in accordance with OSHA blood borne Pathogens standards.
  • Maintain daily and project schedules and notify manager of any changes.
  • Perform window cleaning.
  • Assist in maintaining needed levels of supplies and chemicals and notify manager when needed.
  • Must be flexible with hours and rotate weekends or shifts.

Qualifications/Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous hotel or healthcare experience preferred.
