Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to join our field installation team. In this role, you will travel to various job sites to install a variety of residential windows, entry doors, and patio doors. You will handle the project from initial measurements and site prep to the final trim work and cleanup. The ideal candidate has strong carpentry skills, works safely with power tools, and delivers excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Site Preparation: Load necessary materials onto company trucks, transport supplies safely to the job site, and set up protective tarps or scaffolding.
  • Removal: Use hand and power tools to carefully remove old windows, doors, frames, and hardware without damaging the surrounding structure.
  • Fitting & Installation: Measure rough openings, level and square frames, and securely install prefabricated windows and doors according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Weatherproofing: Apply insulation, expanding foam, flashing tape, and high-grade exterior caulking to maximize energy efficiency and prevent water or air leaks.
  • Finishing Work: Measure, cut, and install interior and exterior casing, molding, and trim work for a polished look.
  • Hardware & Adjustment: Attach handles, locks, hinges, and closures, adjusting the units to ensure smooth operation.
  • Site Cleanup: Clean the workspace daily, collect all debris, and load old materials back onto trucks for proper disposal.
  • Customer Service: Explain product features to clients, answer questions, and secure a final sign-off with a professional attitude.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in window/door installation, framing, trimming, or general carpentry is preferred.
  • Tool Proficiency: Mastery of power tools, hand tools, tape measures, levels, and aluminum metal brakes.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), work outside in varying weather conditions, and work safely on ladders or scaffolding.
