Job description

The Recreation team is hiring a HIRC Facility Attendant! Under the direction of Recreation Manager, Facility Attendants are responsible for caring for the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Facility. This position is responsible for computer registration of programs, supervision of facility, cleaning, and customer service. This position is hiring for the summer months - May - August and employment could continue based on the needs of the department.
Requirements of the Position:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Open to applicants aged 18 or older, in accordance with the requirements of the position.
  • Valid Driver's License.
Additional Essential Functions include and not limited to:
  • Supervise activities, programs and guests of the HIRC.
  • Attend mandatory team meetings.
  • Know and enforce HIRC rules, policies and procedures as well as City policies and procedures.
  • Clean the facility.
  • Assume a leadership role with all guests without being overbearing when policies are disregarded.
  • Supervise guests in the gym, lobby, outside the facility, and hallways.
  • Register participants for activities using the registration program the City is currently using.
  • Serve guests at the concession window.
  • Count and reconcile shift deposits.
  • Communicate with guests in a professional way.
  • Set up multi-purpose room for meetings.
