Job description

Location: Various Locations Across Texas
Job Type: Full-time
Wind Turbine Technicians are needed for work across Texas. This position requires experience with wind turbine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform assembly, commissioning, testing, repair, and maintenance on wind turbine generators and related equipment
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, repair, and retrofit low- to medium-voltage electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic components
  • Conduct safety analyses of potential electrical and mechanical hazards within turbines, switch rooms, and O&M buildings
  • Support root cause analysis to determine reasons for equipment failures
  • Complete and maintain accurate documentation for corrective and preventive maintenance
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities on wind turbines and associated equipment
  • Utilize safety gear and follow all safety protocols
  • Properly maintain tools and equipment used for maintenance tasks
  • Participate in an on-call schedule and be available for emergency deployments
  • Assist in other facility operations as directed
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three years of wind turbine O&M experience or an associate degree/certification from an accredited wind energy program and three months of field experience
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Tower Climbing certification
  • Proof of past experience climbing towers
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to climb towers daily, up to 100 meters
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
  • Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions, confined spaces, and at significant heights
  • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Willingness to travel to various locations in Texas and potentially beyond
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. passport is a plus
  • CDL is a plus
  • Experience with multiple wind turbine manufacturer platforms is preferred
Work Environment:
This is a field-based position on operational wind farms. Work hours may vary based on site needs, with rotating shifts, overtime, and emergency call-ins required. The role involves heat, cold, dust, noise, and humidity exposure.
