We are looking for a Dairy Sales Representative to join our growing Dairy Sales team and partner with an established and growing customer base of valued local dairy producers! This position requires someone who is energetic, passionate about people, passionate about the Alberta Dairy industry, and is committed of taking great care of the customers we serve.

Job Description:

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for a Dairy Sales Representative to join our growing Dairy Sales team and partner with an established and growing customer base of valued local dairy producers! This position requires someone who is energetic, passionate about people, the animal nutrition industry, and can take great care of the customers we serve. You will be expected to conduct all matters in a manner consistent with the company's Corporate Values of Innovation, Caring, Capable, and Collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build committed and long-term partnerships with customers.
  • Responsible for growing the business portfolio within the region.
  • In conjunction with nutrition team, responsible for balancing diets and provide on-farm consultation to maximize productivity and profitability for our Dairy producers.
  • Support cross sectional team members in ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Develop positive relationships with industry professionals and producers.
  • Provide strategic business planning input as requested.
  • Portray an image of leadership and service to the dairy and feed industry.
  • Act as a Trouw Nutrition representative at customer events, tradeshows and conferences.
  • Perform other duties as required.

PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA:

  • Diploma or BSc in agricultural science or relevant degree.
  • Industry experience in a customer facing role considered an asset, however, willing to train the right candidate.
  • Understanding of the Alberta Dairy industry and Dairy operations in Western Canada.
  • Ability to build trust and long-term relationships with dairy producers.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organized and demonstrated time management skills.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to be coached and learn processes.
  • Ability to travel and hold a Class 5 license.
  • Is knowledgeable and passionate about the dairy business and feed industry!
