Job description

William Civil Construction is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team working on utilities and site development projects. If you're comfortable in the seat of a dozer, excavator, or loader - and know how to get the job done safely and efficiently - apply today!
What You'll Do:
  • Operate equipment like excavators, dozers, loaders, blades, haul trucks, and water trucks
  • Work on a variety of projects including utilities, grading, and site prep
  • Identify and avoid underground utilities before digging
  • Adjust to changing job site conditions and solve problems as they come up
  • Keep basic time and material records
  • Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations
  • Most importantly: look out for your crew and keep safety top of mind

What You Bring:
  • Experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting
  • Understanding of trenching and shoring basics
  • Familiarity with materials (aggregates, load weights, etc.)
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate with your team
  • Basic math skills for measurements and quantities
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to adapt day-to-day
