Job description

PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist to join our team supporting a leading regional medical center in Jackson, Mississippi. This is a full-time, hospital-based position offering a rewarding mix of general surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology duties. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, service-oriented pathologist committed to high-quality diagnostics and clinical partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sign-out of general surgical pathology and cytopathology cases
  • Perform frozen sections and intraoperative consultations
  • Provide clinical pathology oversight (including transfusion medicine, chemistry, hematology)
  • Participate in tumor boards and clinical discussions
  • Maintain compliance with CAP and hospital standards

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • AP/CP Board Certification or Board Eligibility
  • Eligible for Mississippi medical license
  • Excellent diagnostic and communication skills
  • Willingness to engage in hospital-wide collaboration and continuous improvement
