Position Name: Video Surveillance Systems Field Technician

6750 Lindbergh Blvd Philadelphia, PA 19142

Duration: 2 months

Type of Interviews: 2 rounds of interview, which will be virtual and in-person

Required:

• 2+ years’ experience installing and servicing low-voltage devices (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarms, networking) or equivalent.

• Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics and perform safe installations using standard tools.

• Basic Wi-Fi/network troubleshooting and strong customer service communication.

• Valid driver’s license; ability to work outdoors and perform field work safely.

Highly Desired/Preferred:

• Experience with video surveillance systems and related software/tools.

• Knowledge of networking concepts (switches, VLANs, Power over Ethernet) and structured cabling is a plus.

Work activities:

• Conduct pre-install site checks (mounting location, power/wiring readiness as applicable, Wi-Fi signal/basic connectivity).

• Install, configure, and test video doorbell cameras; complete install checklist and resident sign-off.

• Perform wired installs for ADA residents when scheduled; otherwise complete standard installation per program guidance.

• Troubleshoot device/app connectivity issues and escalate to vendor support when required.

• Track device inventory (serial numbers), manage spares, and coordinate swaps/returns for defective units.

• Support event-day deployment and final block party operations as requested
