Job Summary:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Wi-Fi Engineer/Architect with strong RF expertise to join a high performing R&D team.
  • This role is hands-on and onsite, working directly with lab equipment and experimental setups to design, test, and optimize Wi-Fi technologies that enhance the overall user experience within a large-scale ISP ecosystem.
 
Job Description:
  • Lead experimental testing of new Wi-Fi features and technologies to evaluate their impact on performance and user experience.
  • Architect Wi-Fi solutions that align with business goals and technical requirements. Focus on how new features integrate into and enhance the Comcast ecosystem.
  • Work with lab equipment including Wi-Fi chambers, spectral analyzers, and open-source tools to simulate real-world scenarios.
  • Deep understanding of Wi-Fi protocols (802.11 family) and how they interact with network infrastructure.
  • Develop and modify Python scripts to automate testing processes and data analysis. Drive the transition toward more automated testing environments.
  • Write clear and actionable technical requirements for development teams. Collaborate closely with developers to ensure successful implementation and closure of features.
  • Analyze test results, identify performance bottlenecks, and provide detailed reports and recommendations."
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years proven experience in Wi-Fi engineering or architecture, preferably in an ISP or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols and standards.
  • Ability to design, deploys, and optimizes wireless networks, ensuring strong and reliable Wi-Fi coverage in various environments
  • Hands-on experience with lab tools such as spectral analyzers, Wi-Fi chambers, and open-source testing frameworks.
