Job Summary

Wichita Tribal Enterprises, a subsidiary of Quivera Enterprises, LLC, is seeking a Desktop Technician III to provide advanced technical support for end-user computing environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of desktop systems, mobile devices, and network infrastructure through the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware and software.

The Desktop Technician III delivers high-quality customer support, resolves complex technical issues, and supports both standard office and specialized applications. This position operates independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment supporting federal operations.


NIST SP 800-53 Compliance Requirement

All personnel must operate within the NIST SP 800-53 framework, developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity requirements, including Federal Information Security Modernization Act.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier II/III technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and scanners
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, operating systems, and software applications
  • Support and maintain Microsoft Windows operating systems within enterprise environments
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues across LANs, servers, and network switches
  • Assist users with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace (Gmail) applications
  • Support specialized applications such as GIS, AutoCAD, and other mission-critical systems
  • Perform system imaging, software deployment, patching, and system upgrades
  • Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions within ticketing systems in accordance with SLA requirements
  • Escalate complex issues and collaborate with network, systems, and cybersecurity teams
  • Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies, cybersecurity standards, and federal requirements
  • Provide end-user training and technical guidance on systems, applications, and IT best practices
  • Contribute to process improvements, knowledge base development, and standardization of support procedures

Required Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain the required federal suitability or background clearance
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on technical support experience in an IT environment
  • Experience supporting desktop systems, mobile devices, printers, scanners, LANs, servers, and network switches
  • Strong proficiency in installing and troubleshooting hardware and software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting GIS, AutoCAD, or other specialized technical applications
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, ticketing systems, and remote support tools
  • Knowledge of IT security practices in federal or regulated environments (e.g., DOI)
  • Experience supporting government or large enterprise organizations
  • Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications)
  • Experience with imaging tools, asset management systems, and software deployment solutions

Physical Demands โ€“ IT / Office Role

This position is primarily office-based and requires prolonged periods of sitting, typing, and working on a computer. Occasional walking, standing, bending, and reaching may be required.
